Job Description

Newport Norse are seeking a Graduate Building Surveyor to assist the building surveying and project design teams in the maintenance and management of our Clients property portfolio.

As part of your training you will be required to assist the Building Surveyor by undertaking tasks such as preparing schedules of work, procuring and appointing contractors and providing support in the delivery of projects and professional assignments. You will also be required to assist the Helpdesk with planned and reactive maintenance queries.

In addition, you will be assisting with a variety of Building Surveying and Project Management duties including carrying out inspections and surveys both pre and post completion of works; producing survey and inspection reports where required and assisting surveyors with major projects including specification writing, CAD drawings etc.

As a strong communicator, you will be able to build professional relationships with ease and will be a confident negotiator. You will be a natural leader with the ability to motivate others and ensure work is completed to high standards at all times. You will hold a degree (or equivalent) relevant to the Building/Construction industry and will have graduated within the last 2 years. Excellent IT skills are essential, including CAD, Word & advanced Excel.

This role will require travel and therefore a full driving license is essential with use of own vehicle desirable.
